Hard Brake Lines Suck

So I think I finally have no leaks. I only made each brake line 3 or 4 times.

Making flares is an art and I also think the ole' Hurst roll control unit was a bit more of a pain in the ass then it should have been.

The flares I made for the braided stainless steel line ends worked without issue every time.

The flares going into the lock were a different story. Probably just my lack of experience.

Everything seems to be working good now though and without leaks.

But they came out pretty good...

The Ghias came stock with a collapsible steering column because they travel at velocities near the speed of light.

The 'other' VWs didn't because they were 'sposed to putt around like golf carts with q-tips driving them.

It's all you coked out hippies (ok, I know there is no such think as a coked out hippie, kind of contradictory, but I am on a rant here) started putting big old motors in your rear ends that the fear of steering column impalement became a real issue...
