Hey all, So my son Ryan was on his way to work Thursday morning. While coming to a stop at Garfield during clutch application he heard a loud "BANG" . At first he thought it was the clutch cable but I new different!!! The hook on the clutch rod was well worn with over 48 years of use. I knew that I should have replaced it when I had it out. DOHHHH!!! Any how today I have rebuilt the pedal assembly and await my buddies arrival to reinstall. Here are some pics....oh by the way the part was 10 bux out the door!!!! dont let this happen to you!!! On the up side I am getting real good at pedal assembly R & R!!! Breck

Cool Breck.

I have been using the clutch pedal shafts from Unique Parts and have had good luck.

Of coarse if it takes 42 years for the original to wear out I am not sure one should be too concerned about a new one wearing out as well.

I also like the 3/4" extension of the clutch pedal.

But check them out, it's a cool concept:

NICE Breck! I had to replace the one in Betty a while back. Got mine from Bugformance and yeah if it took from 1965 to 2011 to break I am not sweating this one at all Smile

I broke the one in my 74 Super back in 08. Fixed it all and a couple weeks later I broke the clutch cable.

I've got a new shaft for each of my cars sitting on the work bench. I really should put them in before I have a breakdown........
