| Hello, my name is Nicholle and I just recently scored an awesome deal on a 73 super beetle that runs for only $800. The reg is about 2yrs back & it has no taillights so I'm lookin for some cheap. & it also needs 13" wheels cuz it has 15s & they are waaaaayyyy too big. But I'm soooo happy to finally get the car I wanted since I was in High School, but now it won't be long before my 13yr old son can drive it as well. It's definitely a keeper. Nicholle | |

| Welcome to the forum Nicholle! Lonny is correct. Thirteen (13) inch wheels will not clear the calipers on disc brakes. I have several sets of wide 13s that I use for autocrossi racing, but they are used with the drum brake system. Keep the standard fifteen (15) inch wheels and put the correct size tire on them for street use. The correct rolling diameter for the tires is roughly 24 inches. Some people put larger tires on the rear to enable higher freeway speeds with relatively lower rpms. Good luck with the Super Beetle. | |

| Well Hellooo Nicholle!!!!!! another 73 super in the crowed......love it, if you have any questions or needs let me know cuz I love the supers. When you say that you have no tail lights, do you mean the bulbs are burnt or the whole lens package is milling? If you had jumped on here last month I would have had a set. I will check with a buddy of mine. Check you PM and welcome to the group. Breck | |
