First "OFFICIAL" Meeting - July 24th at 6:30pm

All right all.. looking at July 24th as our first meet and greet. We can get together and get to know one another. We can also discuss how we want to go to the Mother Lode show the following weekend. So set you calendars for July 24th, let's say at 6pm. I will post a place in the next couple of days. Would like some ideas.

How bout someplace round L.O.P. The Chevron/Starbucks.

Auburn?
Belair center?
Mels diner?

We can do that area on one of our meet ups. I have had a lot of calls from Sacto people, so I am inclined to do the first meet up at the new Mel's Diner on 49 (approprate) in Auburn. That way Sacto people don't have to come as far and Grass Valley people only have a 30 min drive.
I am trying to decide what day works best for everyone. Would a Friday night or a Saturday night work. I setting this up for July 23rd or 24th. A little input on what day works best for everyone. I was thinking of meeting there at 6:30pm..

Well, it's about a 1 hour drive for me. But I'm down.

I think I am good for either day. I work downtown and live in Lincoln so either way, either day it's all the same.

If I don't hear any other preferences on the day, I am going to set this up for Saturday at 6:30pm at Mel's Diner in Auburn.
I will leave this up a few more days, then make it Saturday.

This sounds fun, I will try to make it. Anyone have an address for Mel's Dinner? I am not familiar with that area.

Alright.. after talking to quite a few of you, we are shooting for Saturday at 6:30. Mel's diner is in the middle of Auburn on Hwy 49. East side of the hwy. Looks like you need to turn in before the light going south on 49.

Grass Valley and northern folks... let's meet up and cruise down together. Maybe in the Leena and Larry's parking lot in Alta Sierra, or the Kmart parking lot at the bottom of town. Say 6pm.. we can cruise down and maybe gain a car or two on the way down for those living along the way.

Maybe the southern folk can meet up in Roseville or Rocklin somewhere and cruise up together. If you guys met up at Rocklin Road.. there is some shopping centers or an AM/PM.. it will only take you 20 minutes to cruise up from there.

Can not wait to see our turn out.

Will try to make it, but the brewfest at the Fair Grounds in GV goes till 6:30, so we may be a little late?

Hey Andy, yes you can be late. I am hoping every one shows up around 6:30. Some of us will probably eat.. some maybe a cola. Then if everyone is up for it.. maybe a small cruise up 49 or another location that is suitable for everyone.

I anticipate that we will be at Mel's till 7:30 to 8pm.. before we cruise. Give everyone a chance to get there and eat if they want.

I am so looking forward to meeting everyone!!!!!!! Look's like we are going to have some good times.

Let's do Leena and Larry's.. if some folks do tune up at Smogmans shop, he is right there and we can all cruise down together.

So for all Grass Valley area folks... we will Meet at Leena and Larry's Pizza at 5:45pm.. leave at 6:05pm. Leena and Larry's Pizza is right off of HWY 49 at the Alta Sierra stop light. Just make a left at the light.. pass the gas station and make another left at the little road in front of the Gray Goose.

The wife and I are looking forward to meeting everyone also! See you all there.

That is what I am hoping for.. I talked to a guy today on the phone from the sac area. He sounded pretty interested in that idea. So we shall see if we can not get a couple of people involved with this idea!

I posted it on the events page. Just waiting on feedback. We can go on sat and another evening or two. Just want to have everyone make angels campwith no problems

Heck.. I am just trying to make Auburn Saturday. Rebuilt the carb today.. still have hesitation off the line.. started web searching which led me to look at the accelerator pump on the carb.. well what do you know.. it does not work because it is up tight against the generator ground nut. Have to run to Bugformance tomorrow to pick up a 1" carb spacer. Also going to pick up some new valve covers to stop my oil leaking problem. Other than that she is running smooth.

Talked to Greg (double cab owner from placerville) he was getting directions to Mel's. He's trying to get a few to come with him....2 maybes so far

Well, I wont be making it out. I am racing starting at 2pm. I thought the race was Sunday, but i talked to the track manager yesterday and he said its Saturday. I'll try to be at the next one.

I'm right with ya.. I thought I was out of work at 3, turns out I go IN at 3. Can't miss my first day! But I'll deffinatly try to make it out to the next one!
