SRV - TECH Day - June 18th

Our monthly tech day is set for June 18th, 2011
Tech day: 9:00am to 4:00pm

Well, I jumped the gun on my reply to the Tech Day today (june 5) asking about the next one. So, where will this be?

Ahhhh, I'm figuring this out as I go. Sorry, I need to read better before I spout off. So, June 5 was the Sacramento guys and this one is the State Route group? Would you like to meetup at Vallero's Machine Shop/Garage? He said he'd like to meet you all....

That might fun for the next one!

We already have some worked planned for this one. We are going to help Larry put on some drop spindles.. I am going to put in my new front beam.. I think we are going to help Sandy put in her new pop outs.... um, maybe adjust Spencers brakes..LOL.

But not opposed to doing one down at Ray's.. Tell him to come up and meet us. We have been having really good turn outs on these.. about 10 to 12 cars show up.. some just hang out, others tinker and then the big projects!

Cliff owns the Alta Sierra Smog Shop right in Alta Sierra.. so great location and plenty of parking

So, is the 18th at Cliff's shop?

So looks like we have a few good projects for Saturday.

The weather will be nice as it's supposed to cool down a few degree's.

We have a front beam swap, drop spindles in another and probably will have some tune ups.

So if we can get as many "helpers" as possible that would be great! Makes short work of the projects if we get many hands helping.

Looks like a Red Honda day. We are going to tune it and go for a ride.

Damn. I just ordered my alternator and it wont be here until Saturday. Hopefully it gets in early.

WE HAVE A BBQ AVAILABLE IF ANY ONE WANTS TO BRING STUFF. ITLL BE A WARM ONE SO YES BRING YOUR DRINKS. I HAVE TO TWO E Z UPS SO WE WILL HAVE SOME SHADE SO BRING YOUR CHAIRS TOO.

ITS SOUNDING LIKE WE SHOULD HAVE A BIT TO DO SO THE MORE HEADS AND HANDS WE HAVE THE BETTER.

We need to do plugs and wires and an oil change and we will be right over. Brad rum does bad things to you. Why do you drink on Friday nights.

Great time Dann's kid is pretty cool little guy. We even had a non VW guy helping on Brads car. He got a smog and lent a hand.

SUCCESS FOR BRAD. GOT HIS NARROWED BEAM IN AND HE JUST TOOK OFF TO GO HOME. GREAT TURN OUT ALL. SANDY GOT HER POP OUTS IN, AWESOME. SPENCE ON THE OTHER HAND HAS SOME PROBLEMS THAT WE WERENT ABLE TO TAKE CARE OF TODAY. LR WHEEL BEARING HAS SLOP TO IT AND RR THE BEARINGS ARE GONE. HES RUNNING BASICALLY STEEL BUSHINGS. AFTER HIS TRIP TO ORANGE COUNTY WE SHOULD BE ABLE TO GET HIM FIXED UP. DRIVE VERY LIGHTLY AND BE SAFE SPENCE.
