| Was a great event today as usual! Didn't get a chance to find everyone though. Wasn't sure where the group was at and I got there late. I blame my brother for our late arrival and missing out on the good stuff at the swap meet. Saw a guy walking around with the rims I was hoping to get. Everything left out there by the time I arrived were beat up. Got a ton of pics of some nice cars and a few cars that make you just scratch your head. lol Looking forward to the next show! | |

| Copper Hurst Shifter, traded a set of new Dietz headlights for a 914 transmission, and final purchase a KKK Turbo. For the first time maybe ever no Carbs. | |

| I think I did pretty well for my first time.
I picked up some urethane rear torsion bar grommets. The soft ones too, not the hard EMPI ones. I wasn't sure if they were the right size but for 5 bucks I figured it was worth the gamble. Measured them last night and they turned out to be the right size. So that was a score, probably saved about 40 bucks by the time you add shipping and tax.
I also picked up a new extended clutch pedal shaft. The guys from Unique Parts were there with the new shafts that use a bushing instead of a hook. I picked up one of those for 25 bucks. A little savings there.
Then I found a set of front arms with new German ball joints. 180 bucks, no cores, and he threw in a pair of eccentrics and stainless grub screws. So I think that was a good deal.
I grabbed a set of type 4 exhaust manifolds for the '73.
No drop spindles to be found for ball joints, lots of link pin.
All and all I think I saved some cash over purchasing off the web.
I wanted to pick up a new fan shroud. They were all over, but by the time I hauled the new front arms all the way back to the cars, my knee was shot. Another time maybe. I have a new half-moon dog house type shroud with heat vents, but I really want a stock shroud, they are little flat on the top and look better in a Ghia. If anyone has a descent one that would look good with some paint, I'll trade.
The genius that is Brad came prepared, he had his little Denios cart. Lot's of people had their wagons. That is a must for next time. Although I was going to sell my son's little 4-stroke 90, but maybe I will keep it as a pit bike.
I still need to work deal with Dave for that copper shifter, he may not know about this yet.
I will hound him until he caves in. I am relentless.
Alsp picked up my VIP ticket for TRP in the park in July. Hoping to have the front end dropped by then.
Good times, good time.
Oh, and I think I caught the drag racing 'bug'. (haha)
Jeff is like a little devil sitting on your shoulder when it comes to things like this.
Nothing like the smell of race fuel. It was like old times...

| I picked up a roof rack, some pop-outs and a nice Savanna Beige '67 only ashtray for Crusty. My neck is sunburned and my wallet is thin but I had a great time. Bs'ing with everyone made it so much more fun than usual. I'm excited for the Labor Day Bugorama as that's my goal to have Crusty there. Here are the pics I took: | |

| If a Sac guy posts I have to log into the Sac group. Drove me crazy until I figured it out.
I was on the paved road almost to the end. My neighbors we the guy with all the front ends and transmissions on the trailer. And a real high priced Myers with paddles for sale. | |
