| Well, I've decided that in the future,I'm going to ask a few personal questions of Craigslist sellers before driving 3 hours to buy their stuff. Questions should include: 1) Are you a tweaker? 2)Do you live in a single-wide mobile home with a sagging roof? 3) Is there a CB350 Honda "chopper" torn down in your living room? 4)Are you or any of family/friends growing a "cash crop" at the location that I am traveling to? 5) Are you selling this item to raise bail money to get your wife/girlfriend/ho out of jail? 6) Will you be hammered when I arrive at 11am? 7) If you need to run over to the neighbors to borrow a screwdriver, Are you coming back?
If the seller answers yes to ALL of the above questions, then some in-depth questions about their item are in order. 1) Define "A really straight body" 2)Has the $1000 disc brake system that you want $200 for been sitting out in the rain all winter? - Did you know that you have stock Ghia disc brakes? -Where are the spindles? 3) Do you have dyno tags for that 200hp 1915cc motor. -Has it been stored indoors? 4) Can you tell the difference between an adjustable front beam and a front beam that has had most of the torsion springs removed? 5) Did you actually drive the car with the front suspension riding on bottomed out shocks? 6) And lastly, an irregular 30 inch hole sawzalled in the roof does not qualify as "Modified for a ragtop"! Thank You my friends for listening to my ravings. Someday, I'll learn!

| Eric we may never learn. Even if you asked all of those questions he just may of been straight for the first time in 20 years. And lied The last bug I got was because he was giving up bugging for Jesus.
Next weekend most of the suff for sale is junk removed for other peoples cars because it was worn out. I guess it just has to be less worn out than our junk. | |

| Eric I think we should do this together. Now Eric let let Brad buy that.
I think one of the most bizarre things I ever got into was a free 914 motor. Met this guy at a Romin Angels car show. He say come by my house and next to this tree is a Porsche motor Cool. It was not covered for years. We took it, it doubled as a ant farm. Got the heads off alright had to cut holes in the cylinders to get the wrist pins out. The block was a mirror inside zero miles. We replaced the valves and springs and have used the heads but we are still saving the block for a special occasion. You just never know. Most of the time it is JUNK but we still call and drive three hours

| To be honest it seems you always have this type of issue when buying things though. Evey transaction I have had with craigslist has been similar. | |
