I hope to be ready for the next batch of good weather with a little make over. The 1915 I will run duel 44's that I have put smaller ventures in for faster acceleration but will take some top end off. is going back in with a traction bar. I will work on using a transmission strap or two. Lower in the rear. Poor Mondo will take a beating. I have a hide a way muffler but it does not sound a good. And I am still looking for lighter wheel combo. (crap the propane truck just pulled in no new wheels)

Now all we need is a little warmth.

So in the end he will be high strung and low hung

The weather is going to turn for a week or so. I may do a dry fit with a type 4 motor. I have a few lying around. That would life my spirits. Nothing like a good fab project. I even have heater boxes from a bus.

Hot rod motor 1.8 European domed pistons nice web cam or stock 1.8 with hydraulic cam no valve adjustments quiet zero maintenance low compression motor dished pistons. I will pull the flywheel and do a test fit on the hydro motor first it is on a cart already look for some tin .

Speedie how hard is it to turbo with a carburetor.

The other thing is I have fallen in love with my type 1 1915. I have a video if I can ever figure out how to post. I go out into the garage flip the switch turn on the gas and push the start button rev it a few time and I am alright for a day or two.

I wont sleep tonight.

An intervention might be required for your attraction to the 1915.

In fact, I think a little distance is in order. I know the perfect doner vehicle for it.

You'll feel better, you really will.

The porsche turbo is having an issue at 7ish pounds of boost. You cannot drive through it and it is consistent. I was making boost up to 15lbs. I need to check my waste gate but the only thing changed is a blow off valve I will adjust when the weather gets better.

I thought it was electrical so I moved the coil. Nothing

I am kind of on the same thought.

I need to run an oil cooler I keep looking for a place to put it. Since I am running an oil pump from the turbo to the motor I am going to put it after the oil pump and run the oil line in the valve cover. Did you know push rod tubs are mini oil coolers?? It will not effect the engine oil pressure, and give me more options..

Just Turbo a type 4 they come stock 1.7 1.8 2.0. A bus motor is naturally low compression, later 914 ones also for emissions. the exhaust components are all bolted together. You save $300 on the turbo header alone compared to a type 1. Heat for winter time fun.

Go to this place he is a believer it not a cult but a movement. The sad part it will be the last motor you will put in your car. http://www.tunacan.net/t4/index.shtml

With that said stock parts are cheep high performance heads will hurt you. If you are lucky you can find a deal. I get a lot of type 4 stuff from the deaf guys at bug-o-rama. I have a set of big valve heads 48 x 38 they sell for around $600 or more each. Dino run only.

Shocked

Well boys and girls I moved my torsion bars a notch. To make it interesting I did one one way and the other the other. Rolling Eyes

I have a little problem no motor to weigh the rear to see if I did it right. Or should I say enough. The passenger side had a whole lot more tension on it. It took around 50 minutes on the second side. Hopefully I can get it weighted down to tell. No

I have a few extra ones. I think 16 but I am not sure. I have only drooped a valve seat in 12 years and my son had a lot of fun going to school in a motor we build with spare parts laying around the garage.

I will post some pic of what you want and dont want.

This is the new rear stance. Time to lower the front. Not quite super beetle but to high.

Not to beak your heart I have around 16 or more the blocks are stacked in my compressor shed. three high three or four stacks. We have not done an inventory in a long time. I dont want to know how many so I don't have to lie. So right now I am trying to match turbos for everyone of them.

My friend calls me the type 4 ho albino
