No.. I did.

I don't mind some messing around.. if we keep it to a minimum, but I have to look at the whole picture.. being that of people of different beliefs, different levels of conservitism and so forth. I also have to think about what it is like for a newbie to be reading along and what they might think.

So as Admin.. I get to make the difficult choice of what has to be censored. Some playing around and a few curse words don't bother me, but if we start jabbing hard at another or post pics and say things that could scare off a member or a guest.. then it's gotta go.

If things can't / won't get under control then I will be forced to ban.. but I don't see that needing to happen yet. Then again, I have not read all the post for the day.

Sorry for any ill feelings, but it is my duty to moderate this as best I can.

You're right Brad. Things probably got a little out of hand. I will make an effort to see that things don't get out of control on my end. You can just delete the whole thread and I can start a new one. Sorry if I caused trouble for you.

Yes, we totally understand that there are limits and we have definitely pushed them. For that, we bow our heads properly admonished, but I would like to point out that:
1. I wasn't the one to bring up leather and stainless steel, and any implications thereof.
2. If it was some straight rock band member or tatooed motorcycle rider, nobody would have given it a second thought.
3. I actually DO ride a motorcycle. I have two of them, actually. Cool ones. Fast ones.

So while it's OK for musicians, sports players, and steroid pumped wrestlers to run around half naked/leather clad/tattooed, as long as there's no question of orientation, please be aware that it should be OK for a jeans wearing, motorcycle riding VW mechanic. I am just like you guys.

You gotta admit. The post count in the last 2 weeks has been pretty phenomenal.

Having some fun and poking a little is perfectly fine! It's funny and we all laugh. We are a tight nit group.. so keep that part going.

What I deem as stepping over the line is the rude sex talk and any pics that might depict that sort of thing.

And jabbing to hard at some one else .... making fun of race, color, sex, speech.. etc. Want to make fun of the car.. go for it. I am still laughing at the idea of Matt's bra holding his front end together..LOL

Yes, I was a CHP motorcycle cop, until I was shot at one too many times. Not worth it.
I've also done the Reserves, serving my country, so I'd rather be judged by that, my charity work, and VWs than some perceived abnormality.

That's insane!! My son is 9 and he is so oblivious to that sort of language. I'm certainly no saint but I try to watch my mouth around him. I'd flip out if he talked like that!
