| They did Herbie's whole body and shot it in primer for $900.
They're doing the same treament for the seats and all of the trim pieces, the side covers, and the rear seat support bracket for $300. Everything as far as the seats go is actually pretty rusty. It'll be nice when they're done.

| Oh good. Good window seals will protect the window body lip areas from rusting. Nice to see the extra time taken for the proper USA spec window trim. | |

Nice to see the extra time taken for the proper USA spec window trim. X2 A lot of people skip this step. I think the finished product is well worth the extra effort.

| Well I figured it was time for another Crusty update. I had the day off today so I set the alarm for 5:30 this morning so that I could beat the heat. I got the rest of Crusty all rubbed out and I am finally done with this little task. What a chore! Great results though. I'm very happy with how he turned out. Here's a good shot to kinda show what the majority of him looks like now. | |

| I ordered a new carpet kit for Crusty last week and I am expecting that to hit my doorstep any day now. I thought it would be a good idea to take a look at my shift rod bushing before I installed the carpet. Boy oh boy am I glad I did! Not only was the bushing shot, but due to the bushing being all but gone, the shift rod has been sliding back and forth on the hanger and has worn the hanger to an almost paper-thin state!! Now this, boys and girls, (especially those of you that want me to just hit the streets with this thing) is the reason that I'm going through and checking these things. This would've caused problems on my first or second outing and if that hanger let completely go, I would be completely stranded. So now, I've got to install a new hanger and a bushing. I absolutely hate this job as it's not any fun whatsoever! It will however, be really nice when done and the car will shift like a dream. And the best part is, I wont have to pull up my brand new carpet to do this job as I caught it beforehand. Here are some shots..... Found my seat-destroyer's home at the front of the tunnel Got the bumper loosened up and I used some wire to swing it up out of the way The shift rod coming out What's left of the bushing

| Looking great Greg, it shined up really nice! Any thoughts on shift bushing lube? I finally used Teflon spray with decent results. Seems like grease doesn't agree with that plastic bushing. |
