The first one of his that I saw was he had an all original unmolested '49 split window bug for $4,500. I just about lost my mind. I was frantically trying to figure out what I could possibly sell, including myself. And then I found that thread on the samba and I got really pissed instantly. I agree, they need to catch him and then drag him through the streets.....behind a Bug of course!

For those of you that don't want to read through 16 pages of this stuff on the samba, this guy posts these Volkswagens at ridiculously low prices, usually on Craigslist. They appear to be such good deals that we all poo poo our pants! When you call the guy he gives you the whole "well, when can you get here because I've got a couple of other guys on their way right now. But, I'll tell you what, you give me a $xxxx deposit right now (over the phone, paypal...not sure) and I'll hold it for you". Problem is, the car isn't for sale nor does it belong to him. The pictures of these cars that he has "for sale" usually are just pictures he's found off of the internet. It's really quite the scam.

Oh, by the way, I have a very clean, all restored 1963 VW Bug "Herbie" for sale. Very nice inside and out. You wont be disappointed!

You know, any time he defrauds anyone over state lines, it's federal.
What these people also need to do is call the local police (HIS local police). They're obligated to investigate.
