I got the new beam mounted today. Cleaned up the bolts and slid in some caster shims. Note: you do not need the longer bolts with only a single shim. In fact the longer bolts won't work, they bottom out on the shoulder.



Also managed to mount the new steering box along with a CB Rhino disk.



Left side trailing arms installed with new German ball joints. CB drop spindle, and a new KYB shock. You can see the shim if you look close.



Right side, pretty much same as the left.



Not as far as I wanted to get, but not a bad days work.

Line lock and electric fuel pump should be here by Tuesday.

In the meantime: Mount new master cylinder, mount rebuilt pedal cluster, run new clutch and throttle cables, install pitman arm and tie rods, new rotors with new bearings, paint calipers red and rebuild.

I am sure I am forgetting something but that should keep me busy...

It's been one of those days at work.

All I managed to do is get my pitman arm cleaned and painted.

Oh, that and my rotor deal fell through.

Frustrating...

My Dad told me about the rotor's. All I can say is WOW how lame Things can only get better though right?

retarded parts counter people, to lazy to go look, than they charge you double.

So the rotors came in today.

I was excited to see how she sits with all the new stuff!

I attached the pitman arm to the steering box and attached the tie rods.

Then I wore my fingers out packing new bearings and mounted the new rotors up on the spindles.

New studs and then the new Nokian tires. Sticking with the AE 8 spokes.

SO.....wait for it...BAM!



and the new tread, check for rub...



So yea, she is bad ass!

I think she might need to come up a just a tad but I am pleased.

Sorry for the poor picture but it was late.

Lots more to do, but seeing some progress is nice.

If you felt like taking the easy way out you could get a bearing packer... kind of lame, but your hands stay clean

Some gloves also work to keep your nails clean
