Are you sure all the panels were clean Breck? Fish-eyes are usually caused when there is an oil of sorts on your panels.

| Yep very clean, I have had this happen a few times when using cheap paint and cold surfaces. It behaves just like when crap has been left on the surface like you said. The part was primered, set to dry inside the bus, never handled by hand (sitting on a carbord box for movment) Primer and paint are the same brand. Usally I store the part when drying inside the house with the paint. This time the paint was inside and the part in the garage ( it was very cold that day). Like I said this was not the first time I have made this mistake.....sloooowwww learner. Just re-did the part today and it is drying in the house!!! | |

| Could be condensation. Fisheyes are cause by something changing the surface tension of the item being painted. Like Dann said something was on the surface that changed the surface tension. Hopfully I will have better luck today!! | |

| Cold metal and warm paint, tiny droplets of water.
At least that is what happened to my glove box...

| Funny story. In this pic from back in December, you can see the 2 hubcaps on the left side of the Bus. Then in this pic from mid February there is only 1 hubcap. I never could figure out what had happened to the missing hubcap. I searched for it, but always came up empty. I figured it must have popped off when I was driving it in the field back in December, and so I searched both front and back fields for it, never found it. Well I found it. After months and months. How I missed it all this time amazes me as it was only about 20 feet away from the driveway and I had to have walked right past it many a time. It was definitly hidden well as it was only found after it was hit by a blade from a mower implement on a tractor. So Breck I have it if you want it back. Otherwise I hung it up on the back of the shed. | |
