| My new 70 Bug currently has a 31 pict carb on it, but it doesn't look like it will work. I have a line on a 34 Pict-3, so I was going to put that on. Would there be any issues coming from that, or would it not be affected at all? | |

| If it is a dual port.. should not have any problems. If you have a single port.. you might need a 1" carb riser to clear the generator. I just had this problem 2 days ago. I have the 30 pict 3 on my 1600 single port. The accelerator pump was against the geni ground bolt so it would not work. I just put the riser on yesterday and it runs smooth as silk now. The 30 pict 3 was the first carb for the dual port. I don't know much about a 34 pict 3.. the 34 pict 4 is a pain in the butt if you use a mechanical 009 distributor. I have never heard of a 31 pict carb at all. From my understanding it went from 30 pict 3 to the 34 picts. Also I believe there is an adapter you can get for the 34-pict 4 to fit the single port manifold.
But all in all, it should work with or without an adapter. | |

| OK Thanks, and it might be a 30, I was just looking through all the grime on it, and thought it was 31. I'll double check just for fun. | |
