New to Me Scat Shifter

So I went out this morning to continue working on May's front end and remembered I had to finish my battle with the replacement of the shift rod bushing.

I got the new bushing in and connected the shift rod up to the transmission with a new CB Rhino shift coupler.



With the new bushing and coupler smoothing out the shift rod I can bolt in the Scat shifter.



"Button, button, who's got the button?"



In true VW fashion, I picked up the Scat shifter from Eric, via Dave the night before Biug-O-Rama. Thanks guys, I think it fits right in!

Did you have fun with the shift rod bushing install? One of my favorite tasks.

Dude. Replacing the bushing sucks, I tried every way described on the Internet a few times.

I finally used a combination of the methods and I think the stars aligned for just a moment and everything went in.

I can't explain it.

You should do it when it's 98 degrees outside. I could have literally killed someone or something I was so mad.

Yea, I had that moment. That is why I had to return to it. I actually was on my second bushing. I put my screwdriver through the first trying to get it in place. It is just wrong.

They can really be a pain sometimes. The shifter looks awesome though.
