| I have a new full set of door pannels. I bought them to put on my '65 bug but they seem to be to tall. I paid $40 for the set ( two front and two rear). I am asking $40. | |

| If Steven doesn't get them, I would like second chance at them. That is if they will fit a 66? I'm thinking if they don't fit a 65, they may not fit a 66? Thought I'd throw in my second dibs just in case! | |

| Yes, the windows were smaller pre-1965, so the door panels were taller. This is VW 101!

| This inspired me to repost something in the Tech section (click here to see it). I was surprised nobody else caught it. Dann and I are good at 1960s identification but neither of us been logged on here much for a while. This particular change in the VW is one that carries some real weight. Some people consider the last real old style original VW to be the 1964, because significant changes were made to all of the window sizes, and to the sides window size for the first time. Some say 1966 because it was the last of the old headlights, some 1967 because of the last year for blade bumpers... but the '64 retained all of that stuff. Anyway, it's a pretty big defining point even if just between early '60s and late '60s.
