| We could could build a nice race tranny.
Yaknow, to show the difference between a race tranny and one for the street.
Just show the difference, not that anyone needs one...

| Ray sent this to me and wanted me to explain the dangers of working with Magnesium. Apparently as he was grinding down the bell housing of the tranny he touched a piece of steel with a magnesium filing which caused the magnesium to spark and catch fire....Ray was on FIRE!!!... literally Thankfully from his years of experience he knew how to extinguish the fire and not cause a bigger one. **chime in Ray cause you explained SO MUCH better** I owe you a shirt.... | Mag Fires are SUPER FAST ! this took about 4 sec. it was every where. if you use water, it blows up. VW cases do this in the mill some times when I am fly cutting. I am always on the watch for this when cutting cases. You can remove the fuel *Only* Once I tryied a vacum cleaner I blew up the vac had move it out fast before SHE BLOWS. It would have set the hole shop on fire. | |

| If I remember correctly Ray got out from under the car and got the shirt off....then wait till it extinguishes itself out.
Hoping to drive it home tomorrow! We are waiting for the starter bushing to be delivered....
