| Been lurking around the site for a couple weeks. Been on Sacwater for a year or so.
I got a MK2 Golf recently that my son and I are building. He's 10 and it's supposed to be his car when he's 16 (gotta start early on these mk2's so they are running halfway decent in 5 years! )
Anyrate, my niece got a '67 bug for her 18th birthday and she loves it! My brother and I took her to the show last Sunday and she was totally stoked about all the cool bugs there. I got totally stoked about all the cool buses! I want a bus badly now!
I posted in Ruddz' thread about his '68 he was selling. Looks like I was a day late and dollar short! Would love a '67 or earlier but my bankroll is that fat yet... I may go the bug route now though after that awesome show!
Anyrate, yea I got the aircooled fever now!

Oddly enough the original block from this MK2 will be much like a submarine... acting as an anchor for my houseboat!  I'm in the process of an ABA swap on it. Wish I could have it running for the Niello Ranch run - wouldn't feel right doing that in my '12 Golf... My son is active in the removal of the original 8V:  | |
