67 Bug Price Question

My bro in law has a 67 bug that he may want to sell. He wants to know what would be a fair price before he lists it. If you want to make an offer PM me and Ill pass it on.

Bug has a 1776 cc motor DP w dual webers. Exhaust is custom ceramic and it has a 2" narrowed beam and adjustable drop. He has the windows and all new interior, but it has not been installed. No rust and all new paint. It has been stored since it was built.

I don't know what that is, but it's not a '67 bug. I told my car not to look......

Ha! I have my dads 73 bug and 79 bus. This was an option for me, but I wanted stock. I kno I know...shoot me.

That is what he trying to find out. He is not sure what he should list it at so he wanted me to ask around

Do you have any more pictures and where's he located? Does he have the correct '67 seats? '67 bumpers? Etc.

Also, it's hard to tell in the picture but are those late model hubcaps? Does it have a later pan (4-lug) under it? If so, that's a huge turn off for a lot of people.

those are the correct hubcaps for a 66 and 67 bug

If it runs and stops properly, I'll give him $1800 for it.

Hey, at least it was the first solid number thrown out there, and the first idea of what's too low.

Eveything missing, especially on a '67, and everything not done subtracts from the price.

Nothing is missing, its just not installed.

My first concerns would be if the original front beam were included, and the exhaust touching the apron (paint burning). Also, a laundry list of what comes with it.

That figure was based on what we know about it.

See what else you can learn about it and maybe I can take a look if I'm up in the next few weeks.
Looks like a pretty nice car overall.
