WITH THAT IN MIND I AM LOOKING FOR A TRAVEL TRAILER. SOMETHING THAT IS SELF CONTAINED AND CAN BE PULLED BY MY 91 DODGE D250 DIESEL. IM THINKING 14-20 FOOT RANGE. I DO NOT HAVE CASH AS OF YET BUT IF YOU KNOW OF ONE THAT IS ID SAY UP TO ABOUT $2000 IN GOOD CONDITION I AM INTERESTED.

IM THINKING TO HELP WITH THE FUNDING OF THAT AND TO REDUCE MY THINGS I WILL BE OFFERING ID SAY JUST ABOUT ALL MY FURNITURE UP FOR SALE. IF YOUD LIKE TO COME BY AND SEE WHAT I HAVE AND MAKE SOME OFFERS PLEASE LET ME KNOW. THANK YOU ALL

OH AND IF NEEDED I MAY POSSIBLY BE ASKING FOR HELP WITH THE MOVE IF I NEED TO PUT THINGS INTO STORAGE.

Sorry to hear that Cliff. If I can help you out I will. I may know where you can get a trailer. I'll check this weekend.

That sucks, but it's an opportunity and a little time to look around.

Even 20 feet is pretty small. If you have a credit card and a PayPal account, and the seller does, you could go a little higher if you have the credit available, and pay over a few months.
Just a suggestion. I bought Herbie that way.

Check craigslist. Like any vehicle, it's worth driving a little way for the right trailer.

No luck on the trailer Dann?

Anyways. Tim the shop owner next door had an idea for something like a teardrop trailer that I think I may give a shot at making on my very limited budget. It wont be pretty but......I think I'm gonna give it a go and see if I can get it started this weekend. I will do my best on taking pics and starting a new thread for it. Its a unique idea and I've mentioned it to a few of u. It sure wont be a long term deal so I'll continue looking but for trips, camping, bugoramas and such it should be pretty cool.

Are you able to park this at the smog shop so you don't have to commute far to work, saving you gas $, etc...? TJ

TIM SAID I COULD STAY AT THE SHOP BUT FOR A VERY SHORT PERIOD OF TIME AND ONLY IF ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY. SO WHEN I GET A TRAILER I WILL BE LOOKING AT ONE OF THE PARKS HERE CLOSE TO THE SHOP

Ah, cool.

Yes, you don't want to overdue your welcome and was nice of him.

I think between all us on the board, if you have something you can be in, bus, teardrop, whatever, and if you have not found the place to legally park long term, and only need to stay a short time, I think many of us would be find with parking at our homesteads. Maybe you could get a few of us to agree to that so gives you a little extra time to lock in long term stay someplace.

I know if you run into a pinch and need a week or something to get things situated elsewhere, you are welcome to park your camper or whatever over at our place to get you by. You could even stay in my Syncro for that short time if you are still building your teardrop. Just no nasty ladys over and decorating my Syncro with your man juides. hehehehehe

My driveway is packed but I am sure I can finagle things around so you can park one ride to sleep in.

Just could not of course have it be long term as I live in a area with CC&Rs and they don't allow such things but a week, I have no problem with that and screw them.

So, keep that in mind if you need a week or something to park and sleep while you lock in your other arrangements.

PostSubject: Re: NEED A PLACE TO LIVE   NEED A PLACE TO LIVE EmptyWed Apr 25, 2012 5:45 pm

I have no idea what the renting scene is like these days but have you checked with rental realtors (is there such a thing) that maybe have leads to rental apartments on the cheap? Maybe if you could find someone, roomate kind of thing, so splitting the monthly bill is more manageable.

Like some board on craiglist for others lokking for roomates to split a rental?

I would explore those options too if possible.

Too bad you could not find a location for your shop that has a one room sleeping quarters or something and like the olden days, your home is your company and shop. Kill two birds with one stone.

Anyway, just ideas.

Hopefully your family is also coming to your aid during this time. Nothing better than family pitching in when help is needed. Even if it is just food or something to help on low months.

Like on Craiglists, I saw this, in Grass Valley, $650 a month.

I have no idea if that meets your budget but is close, seems a nice price, etc...

http://goldcountry.craigslist.org/roo/2979099178.html

Saw on Craigslist Gold Country Rooms/Shared section.

This one also in Grass Valley at $500 a month.

And cheaper yet at $375
http://goldcountry.craigslist.org/roo/2970868339.html

Anyway, seems like some nice options locally if you have not seen these on Craigslist.

HEY ALL. WENT DOWN TO THE ICE CREAM MEET WITH THE SAC FOLKS LAST NIGHT AND BECAUSE OF THE QUESTIONS LAST WEEK FROM THE FOOTHILLS AND THIS WEEK IN SAC THOUGHT I PUT IT OUT FOR ALL TO KNOW.

JEFF (LOWCLASS) HOOKED ME UP WITH HIS BROTHER WHO HAD A TRAILER TO SELL. I AM NOW SETTLED IN A PARK UP HERE IN GRASS VALLEY. WITH LIGHTS AND THE LITTLE TRAFFIC IM ABOUT 7-9 MINUTES EACH WAY FROM WORK NOW. NOT A LOT OF PARKING SO EVERYTHING IS AT THE SHOP AS FAR AS VEHICLES EXCEPT FOR WHAT IM DRIVING AND OR MY BIKE.
