I started with 80 and moved up to 800 grit and then steel wool. After that, I took it over to my big buffing wheel and went to town. It took HOURS!

So, today I pulled the motor out of the race car and almost killed myself.

I put this all together 5 years ago and never started it so I figured that it was time to pull it all out and sell it.

I was in the middle of pulling the trans and as soon as I got it free from the motor, the motor mount snapped and came down on top of me. I moved 6 inches to the left with the transmission on my chest just as the motor came crashing down. It missed my head by 2 inches but the flywheel landed on my arm. If you have rules about working on cars, follow them. I know better than to work on this type of shit by myself.
