| UPS man showed up saw my bug and said hey my brother in law has a Ghia, cool. Where does he live, not around here. A couple of minutes later I find out his brother in law like to do BIG SMOKEY burnouts on 49. Matt you are so busted. So be real careful in the VW community it is real small. | |

| Yea, he is always in a hurry! WAIT! Who likes to do big smokey burnouts? My brother-in-law the UPS dude or me? I am confused... If he said it was me, he is just telling tales out of school.. | |

| It's those little tires, they keep braking loose. I am telling you, things will be better when I get those 205s stuffed in the back. I have to vent my heads and get a sealed pully. Driving to Paradise yesterday, I think I blew out a half a quart of oil. Of coarse I met up with some dude in a shopping cart (That's a Honda with a wing in the back David in case you were not up on your urban lingo) and we had fun keeping things rolling along at a pretty good clip. | |

| You don't need a sand seal. Is you alt/gen stand vented? The new stands are very restricted. I will post a pic of what you need its a ebay breather box.

| Yea, my altenator stand vents into the right air cleaner.
I am not to keen on that either. I was going to get one of those breather boxes that attach to the altenator stand and replaces the oil filler.
Vent the valve covers, and then vent the case through the fuel pump when that is replaced with an electric!
That is the plan anyway.

| I drilled my 3/4 valve cover for a oil return. I used an o ring to seal but I am pretty sure I will change to Aircraft sealant instead.
I will probably drill both for venting. I will post pics when I do the ventilation. I have an Ebay breather box they sell in a Turbo kit. It does not have baffles so we shall see how it works.

| I have used those copper colored scrubbie pads as stuffing for breather boxes.
Provides some baffling, works pretty well.

| That's what I have been playing with. I have tried a 1 1/2 in pvc pipe with scrubbies and a K&N filter on top. I think it will work if I change my oil return. Home Depot racing | |
