Spindles on the way.. boo yahh

So .. CIP1 was out of stock and so was another company.. so ended up ordering them from SoCal imports. They were 95 bucks plus shipping. So I should get those next week. If weather is good, I will do the swap out on tech day in between helping you guys with the door panels.. I just did a set last year so got some tricks to make it go fast. Luckily my 68 is a second half 68 so I don't have to update the tie rod ends and inner bearings.

Can't wait to get her lowered a bit. Then I will build the narrowed front beam and get her dumped!

I might have to sit on your shoulders while you do this so i can get some of these 'tips' you have. That is if i make it up there this time.

Its not that I want to or dont want to go. But i lost a wheel on one trip and made it on another trip so im only looking at a 50% chance i'll make it. Its really up to the bug if i get there, lol.

It's 50 / 50... I would take those odds.. LOL

Hey! I need to do rear shoes...

I am just sayin,

If you guys are gonna be there and all, and it's not raining.

There is a possibility of sprinkles...but Cliff has the over hang... I just needed it to be warmer... Can not work on cold metal when it is only 42 outside. But even if it rains, still supposed to be in the low 60's. And Saturday is still a ways off, so might miss us.. hope.

I was 'cruising' on Dry Creek at a bit of an excessive speed today and hit those two corners near the old 84 Lumber and felt a little grab from the rear passenger side brake.

When I got to the light at 49 I could hear a little scrape from the rear brake.

Going to pick up some shoes tomorrow, I hope the drum isn't torched...

I know the rear drum adjustment is a bit of an art...

So I figure it should take a professional like yourself maybe 10 mins to swap out the front spindles??? (kidding)

So with all that free time, what's a rear brake job?

Sounds like a plan.. the hardest part to the rear brake job is getting the damn castle nuts off... better have a ball busting breaker bar!

The rears are pretty easy. If you need help Matt let me know. I have everything we need to do the job.

Is there anything I should pick up besides the brake shoes? Springs, etc?
