Tech Day May/June

While we're trying to figure out a permanent place to have tech days, we figured we might just kinda help a couple of our guys out in their garage with their projects in the meantime. Jimmy (Eldiablo64) has got his trans out of his '64 Bug and picked up a new/used trans and needs to install it and the motor so he can get his pride n' joy back on the road. I was thinking that maybe we could go over and collectively give him a hand doing this. This could be the Sactown group's first tech day. Obvisously with Bugorama and Memorial Day this weekend, this weekend is out but I was thinking about possibly next weekend. Please let me know what works whether it's Saturday or Sunday and who'd be down to help. We should be able to get his car up and running in one day pretty effortlessly. Let me here your feedback and what works for you.

Count me in, I usually work till noon at work on saturday and have sunday completely off of work.

You guys think Sunday would work better? June 5? Or if we did it Saturday afternoon, we could have David and Dan.

NOT THAT YOU GUYS HAVE TO BE THERE BUT THERE IS AN IMPORT SHOW IN NEVADA CITY (JUST ABOVE GRASS VALLEY) ON THE 4TH. IT WOULD BE AWESOME IF WE HAD A FEW MORE FACES TO SHOW UP. WE ONLY HAVE 3 OR 4 CARS ENTERED.

The wifey-poo is out of town so I might make that.........of course "car-less" though.


I was also going to say if anyone from up the hill wanted to come down and help out, that would awesome too.

Cliff, totally off topic, but can you go to your signature and pick a smaller font size for your signature text?

All that adds scrolling and your signature is triple the size of your usual posts.
it'll up the readability of the board.
Just a suggestion for an example you could set as a moderator, and it would actually set it off nicely.

Ok. So it's official. Sactown Vdubs first tech day will take place this coming Sunday, June 5th at Jimmy's place. We will plan on meeting somewhere around the 11:00 am-noon area and we'll get his car put back together. Sounds like he will have some beverages for everyone. For those of you who do not like brewskies, you might want to bring whatever it is that you would like to drink. I also thought we might fire up the barbeque so bring whatever you wanna chew on if hamburgers or hotdogs are not fancy enough for ya!

If possible, let us know if you plan on coming and what time you think you might be there. Thank you!
