So, the big bad check engine light came on again last week, about two weeks or so after the LT incident. Same two codes again. Took it back to Black Forest and the first code ended up being a shot plug wire on cylinder 2. The second code was for part of the fuel evap system and it turned out to be a shot hose coming of the leak detection pump and a bad purge valve. After all was said and done the parts only ended up being about $300. The rest was all labor - GRRRRRR!!!!! I should have been a mechanic! It's really hard to start an air-cooled toy fund when the u-boat is sucking up all the (very) spare cash.
