Sactown VDubs Meeting-Thursday night 8/25/11

If you ever meet on a Sat or Sun, I will venture down to the flat land to meet you folks. I work nights, so has to be a weekend. Glad to see you all getting together!

I am planning on being there. We might not be driving a VW though. Hubby is on call so if he comes we will have the tow truck. Guess that would be good if anyone ends up needing a jump! LOL

Dawn, I am hoping to host a get together on some Sat. It won't be till after Bug O Rama though, but hopefully you can come down for that!

We are hopefully going to set up a tech day the following weekend.

Even though John and Jimmy couldn't make it tonight, we ended up still having a nice little "gathering" if you will. Kim (justcruzin) and crew came in the horse-hauling '64 Bus (which by the way, was pretty darn cool) and......God, I'm horrible at names.......Steve? (sactownbug) brought his super clean Savannah Beige '67 Bug. We had pizza, shot the breeze and went out into the parking lot and shot the breeze some more. It was nice to meet you folks and I look forward to hanging with you more at Bugorama. Hope everyone enjoyed themselves.

I totally spaced it and forgot the @$^& camera. My bad.

I had my phone with a camera but forgot to take pics. It would have been an easy shot of the VW's that showed up! LOL

I had a good time and it was nice meeting you all!

LOL, I don't like to pull trailers so what better way to haul them but in my bus.

Sad to say, I keep forgetting to take pics of the boys in the bus, but I have pics of the stalls ( before I upgraded the bungies to bungie nets) and I have pics of the boys! I did some looking back and I did find a pic of O So when we first got him and first started to teach him to load up in the bus. This pic is before a stall was built. We were just making sure we would be able to get him to go up the ramp!





Here is the bus with the 2 stalls.



I put wood shavings down to catch any accidents they may have. Basically they only poop in it. Yah it stinks, but just till you get the bus moving, then the air flow takes the smell away. No, the bus doesn't smell like poop all the time. It doesn't hold the smell, not enough poop and not enough upholstery to suck the smell into.

We made a holder on the bottom of the bus for the ramp!

The furthest we go in the bus is to Loomis to the vet. That was only once though, we normally have the vet come to us, unless it is something like a surgery. We mainly just go about 6 miles total, going to the SHA stables and back. We go there once in a while to get some good fast running done. The way my property is set up, they can't get a full on run at home. I can exercise them at home, but they like to race around the SHA's big arena!!

So that is the Hore Hauling bus and the horses!

I wanted to bring them to Bug ORama but imagine the size of bag I would need to carry to pick up after them! LOL
