Dowtown Grass Valley Car Show - SRV Event - April 30th

That sounds like a neat show. I'll have to check the schedule.

HERE IS THE BIGGEST THING OF IMPORTANCE I FOUND ON THE FLIER FOR THE NC SHOW:

Car Registration: $25 per vehicle ($20 each if entering more than one).
Please try to register as early as possible! We are limited to 200 cars. If you wait to arrive the day of the event without pre-registering, there may not be room.

SO IF WE ARE GOING TO DO THIS AS A GROUP WE BETTER GET ON IT QUICK

So, I'm going to assume we're not able to get into the Grass Valley show at this point, right?

I could use a solid answer on this. It's a 2.5 hour drive for me.

I'd be willing to try to make the phone calls if someone will post the number, but still, there's arranging payment, etc., unless they'd agree to just let us pay at the show.

POST ON HERE IF YOU ARE FOR SURE GOING SO WE CAN PLAN A MEET FOR EVERYONE SO WE CAN CRUISE IN TOGETHER.

IT STATES ON THE REG. PAPER ALL VEHICLES MUST ARRIVE BEFORE 9:30AM. THAT MEANS IF WE ARE GOING TO MEET UP AT SAY KMART WE SHOULD GET THERE NO LATER THEN 8:45 SO WE CAN LEAVE THERE NO LATER THAN 9 TO CRUISE IN TOGETHER.

I'll be there. But I don't really count cuz I'm a loser with no done car yet.

Yes, unfortunately theres a little confusion because someone tacked on the Nevada City show to this topic. There is a now a new topic for that show.

Greg, I've decided I'm gonna bring Herbie. I'll be up with Buddy plenty* over the next several months as Dann and I work on Phil's Herbie, your car, and the Lancia Scorpion. Buddy is my workhorse. The guys haven't seen HH yet and I know there's a couple people interested in seeing the Bolton's wide wheels.
*I'll call you about making sure we get face time on these trips.

As for snacks, yes, I'll have lots of munchie variety packs and probably 15-20 cans of pop in a medium sized faded red Coleman cooler will be out and please, help yourselves.

Well... Its official. I cant do the Grass Valley car show... It HAS to be 72 or older... DANG why isnt my car a 72 and not a 74?!

Who the hell would know the difference? Just register it as a '72!!

Yes, Spencer. List it as a 1971 or 1972. Only VW people know the difference, and not even all of those. We have small windows (last year 1964) and sliding sunroofs (last year, 1963) and most VW owners guess the "safe bet" at 1965 (dead center mid 1960s) or 1967 because they know 1967s are special (but usually don't know why).
