Auburn Cruise Night - May 13th

This is Auburn Cruise Night downtown Auburn set for every 2nd Friday May to Sept, 2011

This is not a SRV Event, but very fun to attend. So anyone wanting to go, post here to get the cruise going.
It is good to get to this one early.. around 3:30pm or so.

We'll be there in the Bus around 3:30.

I personally stopped going to this show after numerous episodes of dumb ass people doing dumb ass stuff around my vehicle.

You mean like people lifting your engine lid without asking and letting their kids paw all over it?

I'll offer this; you can do too much.
I love my VWs as much or more than anyone (Only Dann knows the personal expense and suffering I've been through with drunk drivers totaling my Buddy again and again), but I don't want to feel obligated to show up to things two or three times a week, especially 10 restaurants/parlors realizing they can have a "car show" every week to try to make a buck.

We all agreed this was not an SRV event at IHOP based on a variety of reasons...

So I would say those who want to go, are going...

Yeah.. was very disappointed in this event last year. Hope it is better for those that are going.

HOLY CRAP WHAT A MAD HOUSE LAST NIGHT. IT TOOK ALMOST AN HOUR TO GET PARKED!!!! WHEN I FINALLY GOT PARKED IT WAS ON A SIDE STREET NICE IN THE SHADE UP A SLIGHT HILL. SAW SPENCES CAR AND AFTER TALKING WITH SPENCE I BELIEVE IT WAS KATE64'S BUS. THERE WERE THREE OTHER BUGS A GHIA AND 2 BUGGIES AS WELL. WHEN I DID MY WALK THROUGH I DIDNT COME ACROSS ANY OWNERS SO IT WOULD HAVE BEEN A GREAT TIME TO USE SOME CARDS . THE CROWD WAS NOT A BAD SIZE JUST A HUGE NUMBER OF CARS. LOTS OF LOOKERS OUT LAST NIGHT . MAYBE ILL GO AGAIN IN JULY OR AUG.

THE WAY THEY OPERATE IT YES. THEYVE BEEN DOING IT LONG ENOUGH YOU WOULD THINK THEYD HAVE CLOSING DOWN THE STREET HAVING CARS COME IN ON ONE SIDE OF TOWN AND PARKING THEM FROM THE FARTHEST POINT BACK TO THE ENTERANCE ALL DOWN BUT ITS STILL A HUGE CLUSTERF*#K TRYING TO GET IN AND PARKED. HAVING SEVERAL BOOTHS ON THE MAIN STREET AND KINDA SPREAD OUT DOESNT HELP ANY EITHER.

IT SOUNDS LIKE THE NEVADA CITY IMPORT SHOW WILL BE SETUP MUCH BETTER. HAVING A STAGING AREA AND MOVING VEHICLES DOWN ONTO THE STREET LIKE 10 AT A TIME. SOUNDS LIKE IT SHOULD ROLL PRETTY SMOOTHLY

Yep... that is what happened last year that I didn't like.. sitting there in your car for an hour sucks.

Glad you had a good time! I might make one of them this year.. we shall see.

After last year I think I will stay away from these events.
