Pray.
Buddah, Jesus, Satan - whoever you think will get you the best result.

I've done the gravel in the tank game. It works pretty good. Might be worth replacing the sock filter in the tank too.

Ive picked up another gas tank, deck lid, sapphire radio and turn signals for $45 over the weekend. So now I will be treating two gas tanks. Does anyone know where I can get naval jelly in a gallon container?, I was unable to find a product to coat the inside of the gas tank after its clean.

You shouldn't need any coating for the gas tank as long as you keep fuel in it. The gasoline will protect it.

Really?, I'll do some more research and make sure I do it right. Especially if I do end up selling the other one. Just ordered all new stuff from Wolfsburg West.

I used the POR-15 tank coat - to BAD results. I even doubled the recommended cleaning solution procedure.
Skip it.

Be sure the radio is 12 if that's what your car is before you try it. It will be marked. If it's a 6 volt radio, you'll fry it on a 12 volt car.
Don't be discouraged if it doesn't work. Few of them do 40 years later. be sure to also have a known good speaker hooked up, and an antenna fully extended. They can fry if there's no load (speaker) and being AM band, need an antenna to pick up anything.

I don't think you will have any problems as long as you clean it out really well.
