| Hey guys!
Just signed up today after a recommendation from another VW owner at the Grass Valley Parts for Imports. After nearly 10 years of it sitting in the garage, I've recently become inspired to fix up my mom's old '64 Karmann Ghia. I'm stoked that there's such a large group of people in the area who are into VW's as well. I'm so excited to get into the world of these awesome cars, and hopefully learn from all of you.

It's a piece of work, but definitely a beautiful car. I'm really glad to own it. I just recently got the engine running, but I need to redo the brakes at least before it's driveable. Hopefully I'll be able to get it to the next meeting or garage day. I'd love some help/advice! | |

| I thought I scored and found a sweet turbo setup that was available at a good price before the other turbo nuts. It was in a Ghia, but it turns out it was in a drag Ghia. So the header did not accomodate a fan shroud or an altenator. I was sitting there looking at it and I was amazed as it was all tucked into the engine bay with not hassles and then I started noticing things missing... I was bummed. But I think I have everything pretty much sorted out except for the header and the throttle bodies as far as the exhaust/intake goes. Just need to figure out the header. I like CBs hide away turbo under the skirt, might just try to copy that one for the type 4.   | |
