BASICALLY $1800-2600. SO $700?????? THERES ISSUES THEYRE NOT SAYING ANYTHING ABOUT. IM JUST SAYING.....DO YOUR HOMEWORK BEFORE YOU BUY SOMETHING LIKE THAT. YOU COULD END UP SPENDING ALOT MORE THAN $1800 GETTING IT LEGAL AND ABLE TO MAKE IT TO TEXAS WHILE TOWING YOUR BUG.

You know if it has 90 horses you will be doing good. Will someone be traveling with you? If you had two people along one could drive the VW in the mountains (Grape Vine) or some of the real hilly sections of the journey.

So in conclusion if you travel light go for it.
