| hey so i have been working on my 57 oval bugger and i upgraded from a 6v system to a 12v..
i have changed the coil to a brand new one and the points are working but i am getting no spark???? any of this sound familiar? the car will not turn over
i have a 1776 with dual carb everything brand new from bugformance | |

| Generator or Alternator? If Generator did you swap the regulator? Did you test voltage at the regulator? Also what is your voltage at the coil? | |

| i have alternator and i have 2 new 12v coils tried both and still no spark | |

| we figured it out my pops had me tap into a wire that was not the right one that would connect to the coil
so you know how when you turn the key all wires get hot well this is one of the wires that when you try and start it it turns off therefore a pointless wire for what we needed so we just ran a new one all the way back and it is running beautifully aagain just need to sync of the carbs and adjust the clutch and you will be seeing a 57 black bug running around town here starting this week | |
