Bug O Rama - SRV Event - May 29th

I think it is nice they stopped Ms Bug o Romia they were all strippers. All it was was a advertisement for Centerfolds Strip Bar and Dow Corning.

Its kind of funny the price of the admission did not go down.

As of 6:20 PM Friday evening, I do not have my transmission for the Drag Bug. So it looks as though I will be taking the Street Bug. But I have gotten an 8:30pm "It's done" call before, so I'm hoping for that.

Whichever car I have, I will be towing it there. Stop by my pit area after the cars stop racing Saturday night for some drinks. BYOB though. Unless you want some Vodka shots, in which case they're free for forum members and their friends.

Just come by the Camo 68 Ford Truck with either the Yellow and Black 70 DragBug or the Grey, Tan, and Black 70 StreetBug. All vehicles are clearly marked with SR V-Dubs stickers.

Well.. tomorrow is the big day. Checked the local forecast.. we look good. This storm is supposed to be out of here tonight. High of 75 down in Sac, which is perfect for this event.

So I am expecting to see at Kmart tomorrow morning:

I CAN"T WAITTTTT!!!!!

Just a heads up as of right now we plan on going and even cruising the bus down the with you all. All depends on how things go in the AM though so if we are not there by 5:45AM, head down without us. One of our dogs had an operation so she is gimped up and we have to do special accomodations for her and keep her separate from our other dog so it is a bit of a PITA getting all situated so we can leave the house. I plan on waking up around 4AM to make it a good attempt to get it all done and out the door by 5:15AM to 520AM so we can get to KMART in time. But..... you know how that can go so no guarantees from us that we can do it. Come morning I will know. hehehe

Either way, we will go to the show, may just have to cruise down by ourselves later but right now I think we can get all tackled and to Kmart in time.

Anyway, see you all there tomorrow.

By the way, what is your cruising speed in this caravan? I don't push my bus past 60 much, maybe 62 or so and she goes nicely. I don't do 65 + in this old beast. I know you rodder buggies may want to hall ass but the bus can't handle that <grin>.

Running stock RGBs in rear makes the bus poke along slow at times off the line and up grades. Nice thing is it is downhill some to Auburn and then Sac.

So explain the $25 option you sent in the club email just now. I know normally $20 to get in per person. What is this $25? Is it $25 to get driver in the show and parking inside someplace versus parking out in normal free area? Then other passengers are $20 per head? So for Michelle and I would be $45 to get both in and park the bus inside the BoR show with you all? Sounds good if it is. Or is it $25 just to park inside. hehehe

Outside parking is free. Inside parking is $5 for VWs. $20 per person either way.

That summed it up.. so yeah, 45 bucks for you both and park inside
