| I have been looking at tire options for my bug. I have a decent set of chrome wide 5s I would not mind running. What are you guys running or does anyone know what fits. Tomorrow I can go measure the rim width. 165 15's are a little pricey.
If you have a set of used you want to sell I may be interested. If you see a set for sale on Craigslist please let me know.
Thanks David | |

| If your going for the cheap.. I ran 185/60/15 in the front and 205/60/15 in the rear of 69.. I got them used all for 100 bucks off of a used tire place on Fair Oaks Blvd. in Sac. No one up here has used tires any more.
If you are looking for more street.. I would go with the 165/50/15 they sell for the smart cars. They have a 155/50 and 165/50 or 165/55 and a 175/50 or 175/55 now. All Contential tires. They go for a bout 75 to 90 bucks each.. but small low pro's with great tread.. so much nicer than the 135's that track all over the place.

| I bought the stock 165 15's from Schultz tire in Auburn. They are Nexen brand but seem to be pretty nice. I think they were $59 a piece. | |

| I think the Smart Car tires are Continental Eco 145/65R15.
I looked at those for the Ghia, they have a little bit shorter sidewall than the 145's typically used.
I was then going to use a Continental 205 in the rear.
I haven't found any local and I am not brave enought to order a set cold off of the Internet without seeing them.

| There is a guy at bugorama that usually sells the 165/55/15 per pair.. I think for $140 or so. Good deal and great tire... plenty of tread on the ground and a lot smaller profile.. clean look. | |

| What I am running right now are Falken Azenis great tire turn wheel and go. Like zero sidewall movement. They are a summer tire and I would like to get them back on my Porsche. So if anyone of you guys have 1 in your garage I need 1 to replace an oops.. that 205 50 15 the older style.
Something will pop up. | |
