Me too. I've got this idea about a'71/'74 datsun pickup with a 5 speed and.........wait for it....... that's right, a turbo! |

| 5 speed conversion is to much a pain in the ass.. I had a 70' 520 in Colorado I was working on. Wanted to do the 5 speed thing. I guess for you it would not be bad.. you weld.
But a turbo would be bad ass on one of those. There is a great forum for old Datsun owner.. Ratsun.com. Great pics on there. | |

| Well, I need a little pickup so I can tow you home when your type 4 turbo'd engine bites the big one... don't worry I will let you sit in the ghia when being towed so you will still look cool | |

| To answer your question Eric it is not rotary powered. It has a 1.8L 4 cylinder. Runs great. It just needed some cosmetic work. My Grandfather purchased it new in 1974 so it has a little sentimental value. | |

| Yeah.. only mazda used the rotary in those if I am not mistaken.. my buddy in high school had the mazda mx3 pick up.. 73 I think.. it was rotary. Ford just bought the pickup and used the body. | |

| Oh OUCH! But that was funny. However, I would still ride in the Ghia AND I would make motor noises with my mouth... | |

| The engine is Mazda. It is just not the rotary. Mazda used those in some of the pickups and the RX7. | |

| Okay.. so they did use the Mazda engine still.. couldn't remember.. I know my friends with the rotary was fast... we beat a corvette once.. almost unlimited rpm with that engine. He did eventually blow it up. | |

| Yeah... I knew they used the bodies, didnt know they used the motors. They even used the same trucks in the new years... after the 'ranger' age.. the 90's pickup where the same again. | |
