Yea, my brother had a Courier, and it was a great truck. I had a '74 Chevy Luv. It wasn't bad either. My favorite was my '74 Datsun 'tho. |

I am sure they have some rusty old forum somewhere else that you can talk about your submarines.. Let's stick to the other non-vw nonsense please. Sheesh, some people. Eric I am ashamed, you off all people... | |

| I am looking right now, but most I find are either too expensive or pile of junk. My girlfriends boys and my nephew want to have a bug for next years ranch run. Plus my dad was looking at a couple vws for sale at the ranch run. | |

| Not being sure of your VW past. I'll throw these suggestions out there for general use. Anyone not familiar with some of the issues of older VWs, I've also included a link to a well researched and written "How to Buy a Used VW Bug." topic elsewhere at the end of this post. Keep checking your local craigslist. Non-VW people use it and deals can be had. Ditto the newspaper. You have to be pretty diligent. Cars can come and go in a few days. You have to be willing to travel for the right car. Buy the best car you can afford. The better the base, the less you have to do. Fall is a good time to buy. Not many people buying summer cars before winter. Come spring, the demand goes up. Links: Craigslist Grass Valley area.Craigslist Sacramento area.Otherwise, The Samba, The Samba, The Samba. All VW all the time. Here, though, the VW savvy tend to know (or think they know) what their car is worth. You do have to keep a few pointers in mind. The newest USA spec Beetle is now over 30 years old. This isn't K mart and you can't really order up a this-or-that year in this-or-that color as if you were going to K Mart. Searching The Samba can be easy. I usually put in ONLY the zip code, the mile radius I'm interested in (such as 50 or 75 miles), and a minimum dollar amount. This filters out junk, parts cars and parts. Link: The samba search page.Link: Gregg Carr's "Buying a Used Beetle."Good luck! | |

| Dan, I am going to look at a Black with Red interior sunroof 67 (rare) and have no room for it. Kevin wants the motor and I have a spare in the single cab right now. Lets talk after I figure out how cheap I am going to get this for. | |
