Sac Town Vdubs cruise to Bugorama

I know we're barely put together here but I thought I would check to see if there's any interest in cruising into Bugorama together. I haven't really heard if anyone is officially going yet or not. Crusty still is not going so I don't have anything to take but that doesn't mean that we can't organize something if there's some interest. Please let me know.

Since last August I have been suggesting a camp over Saturday night. Now I will be in the damp dirt Saturday night. Don, Carl, Chris and maybe Matt will make a camp. Than you have Ken and Tim doing the swap. We buy all the good stuff Saturday night. I will be in the BIG Dodge in case you buy anything.

9pm Saturday a memorial service for Mr Mondo.

You should make a list on paper or things you need for both cars and take it with you.

One suggestion, at least for Herbie: The vertical support arm in the door for the arm rest. Early Bugs didn't typically come with an arm rest on the driver's side. It's a nice thing to have, and you need the vertical arm for it. We happened to find ours at Bug-o-Rama for a couple dollars.
The door is already set up to accept it. Notch in the bottom, and one screw at the top.

Is there a fee to camp?

Anyone in or close to Elk grove? I think a monthly or bi=monthly meeting in the Elk Grove area would be great. I am in Elk grove and think the In -n- Out would be cool suggestion...

Greg (silvertonguedevil) is working on that. The Sacramento Chapter was just formed a little bit ago.

We're going to be having at least monthly meetings but most certainly more. I'm not opposed to the idea of having some meetings out towards the Elk Grove area.

I like the idea. Or what about Mike's in the same shopping center as In-n-Out? (Mikes is the same as Mels, just a different name).

Suggestions are certainly welcomes, but I think Greg needs to keep a central location considerate of the general area, and not have it off too far in one direction or the other in favor of one person.

You really need a stable place, well lit, out of the wind.
You can cruise to these sorts of places.
