| Went to Bug-O-Rama last weekend with a friend in her 63" ragtop and it inspired me to see if there were any localized clubs for VW owners. Found the SacWater link which redirected me here. I live and work in Auburn and drive a 98 New Beetle which I bought new. Owned a 68' for a while and was heavily involved with the Sac Miata owners club for many years. While I've been out of the car scene for a number of years, I thought it would be nice to hook up with other VW enthusiasts occasionaly. I know the NB is a bit of a pariah for many VW people, but I really love the car and it turned me into a VW enthusiast and I've had a lot of fun in the car. I have kind of an alien thing going on, so if anyone is in the Auburn area and sees a techno blue NB with BLU F O on the plate, that's me. Cheers! Cat  | |

| I have to go to a family birthday thing on the 18th, so not sure I can come to the tech day. Mateo, I think I've seen your Karmenn running around town as well. When I was a kid my brother had several Karmanns and a 72 Bug. We also had a Borgward Isabella Coupe which always reminded me of a Karmann. My 82 year old Dad drives a 2004 Jetta Wagon. We call it the Red Devil because it's a turbo and is a fast little beast. | |

| I'm going to try to make it to the ice cream thingy on Tuesday, and I'm definitely planning on being part of the cruise around LT. Did that many mons ago with the Sac Miata Club. The day after LT had an earthquake. Think we can do the same with a bunch of VDubs? | |
