My new toy was delivered last night courtesy of Robert Skinner, the gentleman that I did the trade with. He and his wife were kind enough to trailer him up after work last night. Got to meet Robert's wife and the four of us had a late dinner. Otto is in great shape and really won't need much in the cosmetic department. The exterior is amazing: chrome is original and pristine as are all lights, emblems, etc. Glass is all good and the paint just needs a buff out. Ray said he might find time this week to put a battery in and see if Otto will start, then we'll get together and see if there's anything that needs attention to get him running right, etc.
The wheel mystery has been solved. Robert told me he is sporting a limited production rally wheel that was for Bugs. I personally don't care for them so those will come off in the not to distant future so if anyone is interested in them just let me know, as I will try to sell or trade them. I've always wanted traditional wheels with moons, so that's what he's going to get.
This is gonna be a blast and I can't wait to introduce him to everyone.
