Please help me figure out what wheel bearings to get, ghia disk brakes on 59 bug

Thanks to Cliffs help i believe these are 72-73 ghia disk brakes on my 59 bug. so with that said what wheel bearings will i get or should i try and repack them first?

when i had the tire off... looks like it may be the tie rod too.

BRAKE PADS: PART # 311-698-151 A FOR 66-71.5 T-3 OR 72.5-73.5 GHIA.

INNER WHEEL BEARINGS: PART #311-405-625 B FOR 68.5-77 BUG, 71-79 SUPER BTL, 68.5-74 T-3/4, 68.5-74 GHIA.

OUTER WHEEL BEARINGS: PART #311-405-645 FOR 66-77 BUG, 71-79 SUPER BTL, 62-74 T-3/4, 66-74 GHIA.

SEAL: PART #321-501-641 FOR 68.5-74 T-3/4, 68.5-74 GHIA.

I recommend changing wheel bearings if you think they might be worn out.

I had a wheel bearing sieze, and break my spindle.

Ouch.

I AS WELL HAD THAT HAPPEN. ON THE DRIVERS SIDE JUST AS I WAS GETTING ON THE FREEWAY FROM PENRYN. WHEEL SHOT OFF ACROSS THE FREEWAY HIT THE CENTER DIVIDE AND CAME ROLLING BACK TO THE MIDDLE OF THE SLOW LANE. THATS HOW I ENDED UP WITH MY GHIA FRONT DISCS.

and to think it was German parts not Chinese junk oh so scary

CARS A 72 AND IT HAPPENED LAST YEAR.

YUP. SOUNDED LIKE RUBBER SQUEELING AGAINST METAL.

Mine happened with no warning. At least not that I could hear.

The Porsche starts a humm I have replaced wheel bearings and it worked for a little. I used the red grease but I may try the blue stuff. I may of replaced the brakes trying to fix the issue.

Just a quick comment on grease. For your disc brakes you must use Disc Brake Grease, clearly labeled on the package. Color doesn't matter, approval rating does.

Ray is right. It is specifically designed for that application.
