This is something you want to do sooner rather than later your car is talking to you. Spend some time or money your choice.

Bring a small note book you should keep track of you valve settings. This is the my last offer...........

You may not realize it but a lot of modern cars and trucks need valve adjustment. I know two of my three Honda's require them my Dodge truck requires it. My old 1999 Toyota Camry required them. So my current fleet does require valve adjustment . Most people realize it is required. It is not every 3000 miles but it should be done.

Now brakes, unless they are disk you will need to adjust on your bug.

I think what Kyle was pointing out is the valve adjustments on modern cars are not required as often and not a part of frequent maintenance as that of a VW. He was just trying to stress the importance.

Just pointing out a lot of cars still need valve adjustment. If you have to adjust you valves the same valves every 3000/6000 miles you have a major problem. A valve stretching or a cam wearing. That is why you should keep a tune up journal. If number three exhaust is always out a thousand or two you better start saving your money.

I always check all my valves once through before I put a wrench on a single valve. If they all feel out you are doing something wrong. You did not start on number one turning the motor the wrong way.

Dont be afraid to try it. You can just check them yourself and bring you car to a tech day and someone would be glad to double check and to assist you to turn the wrenches use the feeler gauges the first time.

I think he should invest in a Muir manual.. "How to keep your Volkswagen Alive." It has a lot of great information and easy to follow instructions.

Yes the mountain has been quite the challenge lately. I have wore out several sets of chains. I have sat countless hours in traffic and saw several accidents. It is just part of the job and just the time of year. I don't let it bother me too much as I am used to it. I have a couple pictures I will try to post so you guys can see what it looks like up there.

Yes it will and you can be sure there will be problems in the valley. There is a lot of snow to melt.

I left the top off a trash can 30 gallon maybe since Monday pm it is 3/4 full
