Today no way got to put the finishing touches on my bug and drive it
Tomorrow Yuba City exhaust flange run and something else
Wednesday to the Sac Airport
Thursday prep Chris car for a track day, maybe if it is clear. We can do both at the same time.
Friday you stand a chance

Now Clif how long to wait for a good cool down. An hour?? 100 degrees

Im tied up till noon. PG&E is comming over..... Then i got work at 5.... If we can fix it between then that would be great. If not that day, Im free the rest of the week till the 2nd of April.

It's cure and all, but you might want to fix the spelling mistakes in it.

"If your not Rubbin, Your not Dubbin."
Should be:
"If you're not rubbin', you're not Dubbin'."

Yes, it's time for maintenance if you're having trouble keeping it over 50. Any 1600 should be able to run at 75 all day.

The more you drive it like this, the more damage you could be doing to the valves and cam. Especially if you don't know what oil is in it.

In the first 2 months after I got my 74 Super (first VW), plus as long as the previous owner ran it between valve adjustments, It burnt a valve from the valves being too tight. Never fixed it.

for valves only... I recommed some valve cover gaskets.. you can buy at Parts for Imports for around 3 bucks. That is it really.

I know Cliff has tune up tools.. and I will throw my tools in the car as well.. so you should be good.

Spencer one on one with Dann would of been a real good idea. Tomorrow go off with someone in a quiet place to do this you will not regret it.
