That's a pretty mild chop. I like it. Still retains the flair of the Bug with a hint of mean.

It's a 2-3/4" chop. That's what I like too, not too wild.

Here it is next to my '70. You can really see the difference when it's next to another Bug.

Not sure on the height. I know a '63 is shorter than a 70'. You'd have to check against another early car.

64 and under have smaller windows than 65 and newer

That is looking awesome. You do nice work. It will be really nice when done. That is without a doubt the best looking chop I have seen. Goldilocks would pick that one for sure.

1959 VW RATROD - $1400 (Escalon)

Check out this awesome 1959 VW Rat Rod project!
This is a rolling chassis, with no motor.
The roof has been wedge chopped, the front end has been extended, and it has suicide doors.
It has disc brakes front and back. Has all glass except for 2 doors.
Has clear title.

AGAIN IF I WASNT SO DAMN BROKE THIS WOULD BE IN MY STABLE FOR SURE. NOT TO SURE IF I REALLY LIKE THE WEDGE CHOP BUT EVERYTHING ELSE........SO WORTH $1400 IN MY BOOK SO ID TRAILER IT HOME FOR AT THE MOST $1000-1100 PROBABLY CLOSER TO $800

$1400 is probably fair when you consider the amount of hours involved with chopping a top. Then throw in suicide doors.......If it was done right, the price is cheap! I'm not real keen on the wedge cut tho'.
