My 1970 Street Bug

Today i took it back apart to do bodywork.

Finished the bodywork on the quarter panels, and the apron. Got the left fender done, but the right fender still needs more work. I will post some pics of the finished product tomorrow.

What's the big hose on the oil filler?

Vent for the crankcase. Otherwise it builds up pressure and sprays oil out of everywhere it can. It's rigged sure, but it seems to work until I can do a rebuild, which it needs.

That is why mine is leaking oil I need more vents. That 3/8 hole on the oil fill is not enough.

One of the guys at the track told me that the oil vent tube is supposed to be above the oil cap on late model engines, how I had it is the tube was below the oil cap, it fills with oil, and doesn't allow the air pressure to vent out, becaue the vent is flooded with oil. So when i got home, I flipped it around. I will see how it does tomorrow and let you know. Hopefully it works.

Been a long week. 6/26-7/3. When I wasn't working, I was doing this:

Back together.

New:
-paint
-window rubber
-fender beading
-fender/bumper gaskets
-side mirrors

During that same week, I also painted my truck.
