| Remember my "Surprise" Birthday celebration that never happened? Now that Hugo's motor is done... and I know Mateo would like some practice time at the light for this season... and I have a friend with a one off mini (vintage) cooper, teeny engine that he built, like a 1385cc or so, with 48IDA, 12:1 compression, racegas, etc, that thought it would be fun to see what he gets. I challenged him to a Head's Up at TNT if he'd come down, and he's not a man to turn down a challenge. He's never been to 1/4 mile drags, complete beginner, so nobody should be intimidated to get out there too~! It's held on Saturdays for the off season, Fridays during racing season. I work Friday nights, so I can only go on Saturdays, which gives us only until March. Rules are in the link below. But basically, any car with a licensed driver can use the track and should pass inspection. Just under 14 second cars have some additional requirements. Motorcycles welcome. Last time I think Dave and Mateo and somebody else were bringing their pickups for a grudge match. $10 for spectators (lots of fast street cars and drag cars testing and tuning), $50 for a car and driver to use the track. Gates open at 10am, testing at noon-4pm, how about a tailgate BBQ party and my Belated Birthday? http://www.sacramentoraceway.com/grudgetesttune.htmlHow about Feb 11? NAG is that night and it's just a few miles from the raceway on the way back home, they meet at 6pm. | |

Hmmm- I need to find out the definition of "Significant additional requirements" then- a fellow with a bike like mine (without the quickshifter i have or modded fuel maps or exhaust) ran a 10.6ish.

| Well, we're postponing this.
Dave, is TNT on Saturdays THROUGH March? Or only through Mar 1? Their website if vague.
I can't go on Fridays during race season because I work. So, hoping to go on Mar 10?

I dont like it either. Just felt I had to post a pic. I have had mixed feelings about it from day 1. First I hated it, then I liked it, now I hate it again, but it could be because they play it all the time.
