rayjay turbo- w/ Pics

Nice good lick with another turbo build, i would really like to find some headers so i can mock so things together, then get the parts for operation. Ill keep looking for parts... im gonna need to make a list, and check it twice haha

You need to come up to Rough and Ready and dig through my barn. I'm pretty sure we can come up with header parts.

Nick You want silicone hose connections I think it makes a better union and the t clamps dont bind as bad.

gonna have to see how the mock up goes to find out what size and how long to get, what a good place to get those hoses

I got some stuff from Frozen Boost and a place out of Colorado I can look it up. Ordered the intercooler Thursday or Friday and got it in the Mail Monday

In a blow-thru situation, there is no fuel running through the hoses, so I've always used old radiator hoses and good ol' hose clamps. It sounds wrong, but I've had 7 years of good service from the same hoses on my buggy. (It keeps the cost down too)

That is a good point about the fuel and rubber they are not always friends

Yeah I would rather use a blow threw set up, something about fuel and air mixing under pressure in a chamber next to a hot exhaust chamber I don't like, I will keep you all informed, thanks for the help so far this is great

The vaporized fuel leaving the carb and on its way to the turbo has a very nasty habit. Ice, now my intake had a water jacket built in and I had a water cooled turbo I could of pumped the hot water from the turbo and warmed the whole thing. You cannot drive the car under 50-60 degrees and even on a warm night with higher humidity you get icing. If you had a closed deck lid and drawing warm air.

You will and should not run over 7lbs of boost. so hot exhaust and fuel should not be an issue. I have run 15lbs but I have an engine purposely built for a turbo. Plus it is for a short period of time..
