| What sound did it make, boom or gravel road. That is not good. I guess that is why my wife does not want me to take the bug to the strip. | |

Sounds like if you didn't have bad luck you wouldn't have any luck at all.

Negative. Wouldn't call it a run either. About 2 inches of movement.

| Got the transmission rebuilt. This time with a 4.37 ring and pinion. Picked it up at 9pm Saturday. Home at 10pm. Installed by 11pm, motor in and running by 12:30am sunday. At the track at 10am. 2nd qualifying pass I broke a CV. Luckily I had a stock axle with me. Swapped it out between rounds, and ended up winning a couple rounds. | |

| You guys are lazy, here I am all busted up with a bum kidney and I remembered who built the tranny. Just kidding around... but here is the 411: - David's74Super wrote:

I had a gussetted aluminum Rhino transmission built by Chad Bryan of Immense Performance. He made some changes to my gear ratios, should pick up some speed top end.
Picked it up tonight at 8 pm. Got back home at around 9:15, got started on the project. I had to weld in a mid-mount for the transmission as well. Got the transmission in by 10:40, and the longblock in by 11:30. Had to do some midnight clearancing on the apron so the exhaust would clear. Had it running by 1:40, cleaned up shop. Now it's 2:28 and I'm headed for bed. Will wake up at 7 (latest), load the car, head to the track and be ready to race.

I can only focus for about 15 minutes at a time. I was sitting in my chair working last Wednesday night and I guess my kidney decided to throw a 5 to 6mm stone. Felt like I was shot in the lower back. Could not stand the pain, went to the ER about midnight. Came home about 10:00am the next morning, and I felt pretty good. Thought I passed it. But it keeps coming back, I just start feeling better and then I start to feel like crap again. Nothing like Wednesday night but still fairly painful. Going in tomorrow to take another look. Sucks...
